Q:  How do I search the open jobs at NYULMC?
A:  To search our available jobs and their descriptions you may access our Career Opportunities at http://nyulmccareers.med.nyu.edu/.

Q:  How do I apply for a job at NYULMC?
A:  All applications should be submitted using the online application process via this link:  http://nyulmccareers.med.nyu.edu/.  Click on “Search Current Openings” to review open positions.  Once you have identified a position you would like to apply for, click “Apply” and complete the required information.  You will need to ‘Register’ for an account to submit your application to NYULMC.  Once you ‘Register,’ you will be guided through the application process and be able to search and apply for open positions. If you need assistance with completing the online application, please contact the NYULMC Recruitment and Staffing Department at 212-404-3618.  

Q:  There are three positions I’m interested in, should I send in three different resumes?
A:  No, it is not necessary to submit separate resumes.  One resume will be reviewed against any vacancies which may be suitable for you.

Q: Can I apply to more than one job opportunity at a time?
A: Yes, if you are interested and qualified, you can apply for several different job openings.

Q:  How will I know if my online application was submitted successfully?
A: You will receive an email confirmation once you have completed the online application process. To ensure that the information you submitted was completed accurately, you are encouraged to log back in to your account and review your information. You will also receive an email confirmation after you successfully apply for a specific position.

Q:  Do I need an email address to apply for positions at NYULMC?
A: Yes, in order to complete the online application, an email address is required. It is also useful to have an active email account for your online application as you will receive an email to confirm you have applied for a specific position and when your application is forwarded to a hiring department for consideration.

Q: How do I check the status of my application?
A: You can login to your account and click on the Job Submission Status for an update on those positions to which you have applied. This feature will show you the current status of the position.  We regret that we cannot respond personally to everyone who contacts us. Resumes are kept on file and qualified candidates will be sent letters requesting them to complete an application and schedule an interview. Candidates are encouraged to check their profile and update it regularly so they can be considered for any future positions. 

Q: Who can I speak with  about a job that I have applied for?
A: A recruiter or hiring manager will contact you directly if they are interested in speaking with you about a position you applied for. We regret that due to the volume of applicants NYULMC receives, we are unable to respond to each candidate individually regarding the status of their application.

Q:  I’ve sent my resume, but received no response – What’s happening?
A:  Once your resume is received, it will be reviewed for any vacancies for which you may qualify.  If you qualify, someone from our office will contact you within 1-2 weeks.  Otherwise, we will keep your resume on file for consideration for future vacancies as they arise.

Q:  If I am not selected for a position, what happens to my application/resume?
A:  We are committed to reviewing all applications promptly.  However, if you are not selected for the position/s for which you applied you will be notified and encouraged to continue to apply for other opportunities for which you are qualified. 

Q:  I’ve submitted my resume already, should I also fax a copy?
A:  No, there is no need to fax another copy.

Q. I cannot remember my password. Can you help me?
A: If you do not recall the email address and or password used, please select either 'Forgot your password?' or 'Do not have a password?' link. If your email address is on file, we will send your existing or new login credentials to that email address.

Q. I do not have a resume available. How should I proceed?
A:  If you do not have a resume available to upload you can choose the “Proceed without resume/CV” option. This step-by-step process will allow you to provide NYU Langone Medical Center with all of the information needed to consider you for any position you may be qualified for.

Q. I just submitted my profile but need to make a correction. What should I do?
A:  Under Employment Listings, click on Update Your Profile. You can log-in to your account to make changes to your profile.

Q: How will I know if a position has been filled or closed?
A: If a position is filled or closed, it will no longer appear on this website. If you applied for a position, you will receive an e-mail notification informing you that the position applied for has been closed.

Q:  How often are the jobs updated?
A:  The database is updated on a daily basis.

Q:  What are the employment options offered at NYULMC?
A:  NYULMC offers different employment options to fit every schedule.  These options include:

  • Full Time
  • Part Time
  • Per Diem
  • Per Session
  • Internship
  • Temporary

Q: How do I find out what a particular position pays?
A:  Our salaries are market based and can vary upon experience, job requirements, schedules, and level of responsibility, but are not provided with these postings.  We invite you to discuss salary and compensation questions directly with your recruiter.

Q:  Should I send my questions via e-mail to NYUMC-Careers@nyumc.org?
A: Due to the high volume of responses, we regret that we are unable to respond to individual inquiries.

Q:  Are non-U.S. citizens eligible for employment at NYULMC?
A:  Yes.  Eligibility varies depending on your visa status and the educational requirements for the position.

Q:  Can I volunteer at NYULMC?

Q:  Please explain the transfer process.  How much time must elapse before I can be considered for another opportunity?
A:  You must be in a position for a minimum of one year before consideration is given for transferring at NYULMC.

Q:  How should I prepare for my interview?
A: Congratulations on making it to the next step in the hiring process!  Your recruiter will provide details about the time and location of the interview.  All candidates should bring an updated copy of their resume/CV and any other information that would assist the recruiter in evaluating competencies for the position of interest. We expect you to be prepared with the following information:

  • Full legal name, former names, present and previous addresses history. Comprehensive Employment History: 10 to 15 years.
  • For each employer: start and end date of employment, title, and supervisor’s contact info.
  • Contact information for three recent professional references including title and organization.
