The Hospital for Joint Diseases (HJD) has a distinguished tradition of medical innovation
going back to 1905. For over a century, HJD's physicians have pioneered a range of treatments that have improved the lives of people with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.
In 2006, HJD merged with NYU Langone Medical Center, creating one of the nation's leading orthopaedic hospitals. The Hospital for Joint Diseases received the prestigious Magnet® recognition in
2012, in acknowledgment of the team's commitment to nursing professionalism, teamwork, and excellence in patient care.
Today, HJD proudly attends to the needs of patients of all ages with any type of musculoskeletal condition, leveraging the most current knowledge and treatments, as well as cutting-edge techniques

Rehabilitation Services at HJD are provided by Rusk Rehab, including physical medicine and
rehabilitation, physical therapy, and occupational therapy dedicated to:

stage of life and every phase of recovery.
